Kudos for Pro Choice Fishing

I had been up this morning, walked the dogs,  and just settled in to get started on the computer this morning when the phone rang.  It was Brent from Pro Choice Fishing, just calling to make sure I had received my order yesterday for my tournament this Saturday.

Good customer service is so hard to find these days in the age of big box stores and corporate offices several states away, I truly appreciated the gesture this morning.  I make it a point to thank the person on the other end of the line when they go that extra mile.  He asked where I would be fishing, and even gave some pointers on spots and lure speeds.  Every little bit helps, and you never turn away good informtion when available!  He knew the area, mentioned some things I already knew and confirmed my thoughts on those area, and gave me some really good tips on water conditions.

Pro Choice Fishing: Great Blades, BETTER Service

I love going to the dealer booths at the Michigan-Ohio Fishing Show held at the Fairgrounds the last two winters.  I always find something that I can use, and once in a while find something really good.  This year it was the booth with the guys from Pro Choice Fishing.

I mentioned yesterday about the “Purple Claw” blade that caught one of the fish we landed on Sunday.  That’s the place where I got it while walking around the Monroe Bank and Trust Expo Center that weekend. I know I dropped 40 bucks just in blades that day at their booth.  I even picked up some of the Claws that day, but as it turns out, not nearly enough.

Brent, the owner even mentioned while I was at the booth, that the Purple Claw was their best producer last year.  I had picked up four that day, and when I lost one after landing that fish Sunday, I thought I better load back up.  I even considered calling in the order while on the water, but didn’t have the number loaded in my cell phone.

So instead I waited till Monday morning and called Brent to make sure I wanted the ones with the copper blades for this weekend’s tournament. The website needs some reworking, somehow “bronze” was typed instead of copper.  So I ordered 12 in sized #5 blade, and 6 more for good measure in the #4 colorado blade size.

I emailed that I appreciated the help over the phone and for explaining the ordering process on the website.  Mentioned that I had a tourney on Saturday and how they had been right in their original suggestion back in February.

The best part is that I got a return phone call an hour later.  Brent explained to me that he didn’t know that I needed them for a tournament, and would make sure that the order would get to shipped to me that day.  That’s GREAT customer service, and another MICHIGAN company coming through for their state’s anglers.
